Be Inspired
I am an Apprentice Interpretive Hiking guide, a member of the Interpretive Guide Association (IGA), and possess an 80-hour Wilderness First Responder Certificate. I have extensive experience hiking in the Canadian Rocky Mountains, enjoy introducing novices to mountain environments, and am proud to be associated with On Top Mountaineering as a hiking guide.
Whether you are new to hiking and want to experience the beauty of Canada’s national mountain parks on your own two feet for the very first time, or are more seasoned, On Top Mountaineering has a half or full-day hike to enrich your holiday experience.

Lake Louise Hikes
- Lake Agnes (7 km return)
This charming lake, hidden in a hanging valley, is worth the 400 metre elevation gain. - Plain of Six Glaciers (11 km return)
This longer hike with slightly less elevation gain than Lake Agnes, takes the hiker closer and closer to the impressive face of Mount Victoria. - Saddleback (7.4 km return)
Ascending 600 metres to this pass (a more arduous hike) offers alpine meadows with a striking view of the Mount Temple.
Moraine Lake Hikes
- Sentinel Pass (11.6 km return)
Another classic hike with stellar views, alpine meadows, and a 724 metre elevation gain. This is a hike suitable for keen beginners, but beloved by all. - Wenchemna Pass (19.4 km return)
This beautiful long hike has the same trailhead as Sentinel Pass, but then traverses high up above the trees for the entire length of the Valley of the Ten Peaks to a pass with a 733 metre elevation gain.
Other Hikes
- Boom Lake (10.2 km return)
A gentle hike through forest to a large lake with a dramatic mountain backdrop starts 4 km west of Castle Junction (on Hwy. #93) - Healy Pass (18.4 km return)
Beginning at the Sunshine Ski Resort gondola, once emerging from the trees, this trail (with a 655 metre elevation gain) takes a lovey ramble through flower-filled alpine meadows to a pass with views towards the Monarch and Mount Assiniboine.
This is but a small sample of suggested hikes. There are numerous opportunities for other rewarding hikes in Banff National Park.
